We provide one on one counselling, group programming and sessions, ceremonies and elder support for those who have been impacted by trauma.
Our areas of focus include:
- Indian Residential School Survivors and those intergenerationally affected by Indian Residential Schools
- Victims of crime, including families of MMIWG
- All others who need mental health support and traditional based healing
Our work and services help individuals restore balance within themselves, their families and their communities. Through our sessions, participants gradually regain their own thinking and identify and build their own steps to healing, changing and living productively. The structure of our programming allows individuals to move through each of these steps at their own pace.
Individuals may choose to work with a Behavioural Health Specialist, a Resolution Health Support Worker or an Elder, or with a combination of all three at different points throughout the treatment. Throughout the healing process, these workers will help individuals gain the tools they need to do the mental, emotional, spiritual and physical work needed to heal the wounds caused by traumas. The spiritual aspect of the healing process is strengthened through the Indigenous Traditional based approach to therapy, including various ceremonies and teachings.
